Leap Year Day

Happy Leap Year! I didn't realize that it was a leap year until I happily went to my calender this morning (because it's just darn exciting turning the calender page to the new month) and saw that 29. But this is even better than flipping the page! Is Leap Year Day a holiday? I think that it should be! I will spend the rest of the day inventing Leap Year Day traditions and activities. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Leap year always reminds me of that jump the river game we played in elementary school.
I was just thinking how weird it would be if someone was born on February 29th. Do they only celebrate their birthday every 4 years? And if not, do they celebrate it a day ahead or a day late? Or both days?

These things we think about...puzzling.

My Irish Friend,
Were you not aware that Irish tradition states that Leap Day is in fact the only day a female may chance to propose to a male instead of vice versa. I thought for sure that would be something you of all people would know.... I miss you something fierce and I cannot believe I just found out about your blog!!! That is what I get for not being a facebook addict. Much love, I for one am having no fun without you.
